Exterior Design
Starting with the front fascia, the Xpeng X9 Super Range-Extended Edition does not overturn the sci-fi tone of the pure electric version, but instead enhances its premium feel through refined detailing. The signature polygonal openings are replaced by a more practical active air intake grille, combined with a full-width black horizontal trim strip that lowers the visual center of gravity, creating a clean, elegant, and stable appearance. The newly added vertical air-guiding ducts on both sides are a highlight, not only optimizing aerodynamics and reducing drag, but also strengthening visual impact with sharp lines, preventing this large MPV from appearing bulky.
It is worth noting that the new Aurora Green paint adopts BASF high-transparency clear-coat technology, presenting flowing light and shadow gradients under different lighting conditions, with a texture comparable to top luxury models. The lighting system remains the core carrier of technological appeal. The classic combination of full-width daytime running lights and split headlights, together with a three-segment LED light group, delivers outstanding nighttime recognition. Each illumination seems to tell the story of future mobility aesthetics.
Interior Design
Entering the cabin, the wrap-around cockpit design immediately brings a strong sense of enclosure and security. The 17.3-inch central display and 10.25-inch instrument panel form a clear visual interaction center. The built-in Tianji OS 5.6.0 system responds quickly and smoothly, supporting continuous multi-command voice interaction without repeated wake-ups. Whether adjusting air-conditioning temperature or setting navigation routes, everything can be completed with a single voice command, greatly improving driving convenience and safety.
The 21.4-inch rear ecological entertainment screen is truly a “mobile cinema cabin.” It supports 0–75° free adjustment to match different seating postures, and is TÜV Rheinland low blue-light certified. Together with triple anti-pinch protection, it satisfies entertainment needs while providing comprehensive safety for children.
Power
In terms of power, the Xpeng X9 EREV is equipped with a Huawei co-developed 1.5T high-efficiency turbocharged intercooled range extender with a thermal efficiency of up to 43.06%, representing higher energy conversion efficiency and lower fuel consumption. Combined with a high-voltage oil-cooled generator and an 800V silicon-carbide coaxial electric drive, the system delivers a total torque of 465 N·m and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8 seconds.
During driving, power output is smooth and linear, with no abrupt sensations commonly found in traditional electric vehicles. Whether starting or overtaking at high speed, it provides continuous and confident power support. Meanwhile, the range extender operates extremely quietly, barely affecting cabin serenity, offering a driving experience close to that of a pure electric vehicle.
